Pioneer Forest Staff - 2016-2017
Jason Green — Forest Manager, Salem, MO. Jason completed his Bachelor and then Master of Science degree in forestry at the University of Missouri and began working for Pioneer Forest as a forest technician in 2007. In 2013, he succeeded Terry Cunningham as Pioneer Forest Manager. Jason also serves as an affiliate director of the Missouri Forest Products Association.
Brandon Kuhn – Chief Forester, Salem, MO. Brandon joined Pioneer Forest in August 2009. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in fisheries, wildlife, and forestry. He was previously employed by the Current River Timber Company in Licking, Missouri. In 2013, Brandon was promoted to Chief Forester.
Mike Adams — Technician, District Forester, Eminence, MO. Mike began working for Pioneer Forest in 1994. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife conservation and management and previously worked for the US Forest Service on the Mark Twain National Forest.
Matthew Skaggs – Technician, District Forester, Bunker, MO. Matt taught science for the Bunker School District before joining the Pioneer Forest staff in June 2012. He is the third generation of the Skaggs family to work on the forest.
Dusty Smith – Technician, District Forester, Summersville, MO. Dusty is a graduate of the Forestry Technician program at the Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff. Following a successful internship with Pioneer Forest, Dusty joined the Pioneer staff in 2013.
Neal Christensen – Technician, District Forester, Van Buren, MO. Neal comes to Pioneer Forest after working 10 years with the Missouri Department of Conservation, including three years spent as a Resource Technician conducting timber sale administration. He lives in Van Buren and joined the Pioneer staff in July 2015.
L-A-D Foundation Staff - 2016-2017
Greg Iffrig – Liaison to the Board, St. Louis, MO. Greg graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Missouri in 1978, began work with Missouri State Parks in 1979, and founded the Natural Areas Journal in 1981. He has developed outreach, management, and acquisitions for Foundation and Pioneer lands, published its Annual Report and other articles, and been active with other state and national conservation organizations.
Neal Humke – Land Stewardship Coordinator, St. Louis, MO. Neal worked with The Nature Conservancy in Iowa, Virginia, and Missouri before joining the L-A-D Foundation in 2014. Neal earned a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture from Iowa State University and serves on the board of the Ozark Trail Association. He oversees the Foundation's Missouri Natural Areas and Pioneer's Forest Reserves and Special Ecological Management Areas.
Clare Holdinghaus – Office Manager, St. Louis, MO. Clare graduated from Beloit College in 2011 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in philosophy and political science. She began working for the L-A-D Foundation in February 2015 after working as a project manager and office assistant for AmeriCorps St. Louis. She supports the Foundation's grants program, outreach and education, event planning, and financial administration.
