Terry Cunningham - Retired Forest Manager, Salem, MO. Terry graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Jefferson College in 1968, then received a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry from the University of Missouri. He began working with Pioneer Forest in 1972, practicing forestry in the Ozarks for more than 40 years. He served as Forest Manager for five years before retiring.

Greg Iffrig – Retired Liaison to the Board, L-A-D Foundation, St. Louis, MO. Greg graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Missouri in 1978, began work with Missouri State Parks in 1979, and founded the Natural Areas Journal in 1981. Until his 2021 retirement at L-A-D, he developed outreach, management, and acquisitions for Foundation and Pioneer lands, and published its Annual Report and other articles. He developed and maintained active relationships with a wide variety of other state and national conservation organizations.

David Larsen - Professor of Forestry, University of Missouri-Columbia. Dave grew up in the Salem area, working some summers on Pioneer Forest. He participated in the Continuous Forest Inventory on Pioneer in 1977, completed one of the first scholarly studies of Pioneer Forest in 1980 while a graduate student at the University of Missouri, and completed his PhD in 1991 at the University of Washington. He has gone on to teach forestry to a new generation of foresters, technicians, and conservationists.

Rindy O'Brien - The O'Brien Group, a communications firm in Washington, DC. Rindy served as legislative aide for Missouri Senator Thomas Eagleton from 1973-1986; then as Director of Governmental Affairs and Vice President for Policy with the Wilderness Society; Senior Policy Advisor with the Democratic Policy Committee; and Executive Director of the Friends of the National Arboretum. Rindy served as an L-A-D board member beginning in 2008 and joined the Advisory Council on her retirement from the board in 2014.

Jon Smith - President, Smith Flooring, Mountain View, MO. Jon encouraged Pioneer's Forest Stewardship Council Certification in 2003 and through his leadership developed the chain-of-custody certification for oak flooring produced from Pioneer timber. Over his long career, Jon has been involved with the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), the Missouri Forest Products Association (MFPA), and The Nature Conservancy, and his commitment to sustainable timber operations has been highlighted by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
